The client is a leading Nordic software provider with over 30 years of experience in the health and welfare sector. Their solutions help municipalities and private healthcare organisations digitise social care and welfare services. By combining deep industry knowledge with modern technology, the company improves the quality of life for individuals and communities, while streamlining care processes and increasing efficiency. Their secure and scalable systems support some of the largest local authorities in the region, including those with the most complex administrative needs. 

Building a foundation for digital transformation 

The client set out to deliver one of the most advanced and user-friendly welfare systems on the market. To achieve this, they needed to rebuild and stabilise a complex core platform, reduce critical errors, and deliver new functionalities across two application versions. The project also required the development of new digital products, including a mobile app for home care staff and a companion app giving recipients and relatives visibility into planned visits and interventions. Additionally, the client aimed to introduce AI-based capabilities to improve efficiency and enhance service quality across their systems. 

Our role in the project 

To address these needs, our team delivered a comprehensive suite of services designed to stabilise, modernise, and expand the client’s digital ecosystem. 

Core system rebuilding and stabilisation

Rebuilt and optimised a multi-module core platform, reducing the number of critical errors and ensuring long-term performance and scalability.

Feature development and ongoing support

Delivered new functionalities across two application versions while maintaining and continuously improving existing components.

Mobile applications for care personnel and recipients

Designed and released two mobile apps – one supporting home care staff in daily task management, and another enabling recipients and their relatives to view planned visits and care activities.

Quality assurance and automation

Introduced test automation and continuous integration practices that transformed manual testing into automated, overnight validation cycles.

Agile and SAFe transformation

Supported the client’s Agile adoption, helping establish SAFe practices and enabling better collaboration between distributed teams.
